Editorial: Hearings Needed in Lackland Scandal

to the brave men and women in uniform who have been raped or sexually assaulted by fellow service members. We seek to fix the military training, investigation and adjudication systems related to sexual violence, systems that often re-victimize survivors by blaming them while failing to prosecute perpetrators.

Protect Our Defenders President Nancy Parrish writes in an op-ed for the San Antonio Express News:

What happened during those three weeks of the initial investigation to cause Rice to change his mind? If there was any doubt that an independent congressional hearing about Lackland is required, let that be put to rest by the contradictions in Rice’s recent statements.
