Women’s Center of Jacksonville, Rape Recovery Team

The Rape Recovery Team (RRT) serves ALL victims of sexual violence – women and men – ages twelve and older, regardless of circumstance, race, class, creed, cultural background, ability, sexual orientation or gender identity. Our services are free and our work together is confidential.

CRISIS INTERVENTION/ADVOCACY
•On call 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to sexual assault calls reported and unreported
•Provides crisis intervention and emotional support to victims and their loved ones at any stage of their recovery process
•Provides information, referral, outreach, and long-term follow-up to assist victims with their recovery
•Assists victims who have reported the assault to the police with navigating the criminal justice system
•Informs victims of their rights and options

COUNSELING
•Individual counseling is provided to sexual assault survivors and their loved ones
•Group sessions for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse are frequently offered
