Protect Our Defenders Files Amicus Brief Arguing that MRE 513 Privilege is Constitutional and Did Not Interfere with the Accused’s Right to Prevent a Defense in United States v Salvador Jacinto

In its amicus brief filed in support of the brief filed by the appellee in United States v Salvador Jacinto, Protect Our Defenders argues that MRE 513, which gives patients a privilege to refuse to disclose confidential communications with their psychotherapists, does not interfere with the accused’s fifth and sixth amendment rights.
