Armed Forces Housing Advocates
AFHA’s team of advocates has been assisting military families residing in privatized military housing since 2019. They empower families to advocate for themselves utilizing a series of steps proven successful across all installations nationwide. They use this “empowerment advocacy” method because most families residing on military installations will encounter more than one safety hazard and need to know how to advocate for themselves. They assist in direct advocacy between residents and housing companies when deemed necessary. Additionally, AFHA aids indirectly in supporting the removal of families from homes that are considered uninhabitable or an immediate danger to their life and safety. Finally, their advocates work directly with Congress to create sweeping changes to existing federal law and assist in writing new legislation to continue the mission of protecting all residents
AFHA serves military families of every branch across the continental US, Hawaii, and Alaska. They seek to empower 700,000 families living in privatized military housing through our direct advocacy services. Need their help? Their caring, diligent advocates standby ready to assist you.
