Editorial: Comments are an Insult to Recruits

The San Antonio Express-News Editorial Board writes:

To be clear, this is a problem more serious than just a few people testing the bounds of propriety. At last count, 17 training instructors are under investigation or have faced disciplinary action for crimes including rape, sexual assault and improper sexual relations with 43 female trainees. The San Antonio Express-News has reported a history of problems with military instructors engaging in illicit conduct with trainees that precedes the disclosures in the past year at Lackland.
