We seek to fix the military training, investigation and adjudication systems related to sexual violence, systems that often re-victimize survivors by blaming them while failing to prosecute perpetrators.

Nation: House Committee Still Sidestepping Hearing on Air Force Sex Scandal

The Nation reports on Lackland and the Protect Our Defenders petition for a Congressional investigation:

…the advocacy group Protect Our Defenders also started a petition that, as of Wednesday, had more than 8,000 signatures. The group began a Twitter campaign Tuesday targeting McKeon with the hashtag #AskBuck. For Protect Our Defenders, a closed-door briefing to delay a hearing is not enough.
