The San Antonio Express-News reports:

An Air Force sergeant will face a hearing Monday on charges that he raped three women, one of them a basic training recruit at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in 1995.

Master Sgt. Michael Silva is accused of assaulting the women on different occasions, but details of when two other rapes occurred were not immediately clear Thursday.

The allegations constitute the oldest case yet to come out of multiple Air Force investigations into instructor misconduct at Lackland. The scandal there is the worst one in Air Force history, prompting congressional hearings and a makeover of basic training here.
