Airman charged in a Universal City rape case

The San Antonio Express-News reports:

An Air Force reservist was arrested Thursday at his job on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland after a grand jury indicted him for allegedly beating and sexually assaulting a former live-in girlfriend.

Tech. Sgt. Alex Omar Granados was released from jail after posting $75,000 bond on charges of aggravated sexual assault, which carries a maximum life sentence.

Wearing Air Force fatigues, the bespectacled Granados was led to a magistrate hearing by a pair of Bexar County sheriff’s deputies.
