People like Perry see Protect Our Defenders as their best hope for seeking justice and change that prevents others’ future suffering.
“They offer hope in the midst of situations where survivors find themselves completely hopeless because so many doors are closed on survivors in terms of pursuing justice or navigating the justice system itself and knowing what resources are available and what rights they have,” Perry said. “The fact that they are starting their own legal group is just fantastic. It’s going to give so many survivors hope that they have a chance in having their voice heard.”
